GMC Hummer EV Wrap in Sacramento
Updated

Hummer EV owners wrap for two reasons that are specific to this truck: the factory color palette is narrow and the body is enormous, so a wrap is one of the few ways to make a $100K+ rig actually stand out, and the slab-sided sheet metal is a magnet for rock chips and door dings around the wide flares. The unique angle here is scale and the removable roof: with the Infinity Roof's four modular Sky Panels off, you can wrap or PPF the cab and the painted roof rails far more cleanly than on a fixed-roof truck, and the flat, upright surfaces make large single-piece graphics genuinely achievable.

How much does it cost to wrap a GMC Hummer EV?
A GMC Hummer EV wrap in Sacramento starts at $5,850 for a full colour change. The Hummer EV measures about 450 sq ft of wrappable surface, billed at $13–$17 per sq ft with a $550 minimum. Install takes 1–3 days.
The Hummer EV is a extra-large vehicle — roughly 450 sq ft of wrappable surface. A full color change starts from $5,850, with lettering and partials from $550 — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. You pay for the film and the labor it takes to cover your Hummer EV, never a flat number copied from a bigger or smaller vehicle.

How long does it take to wrap a GMC Hummer EV?
This is a big, boxy body with mostly flat door skins and a near-vertical tailgate, which is easy material-wise, but the install time goes into the deep fender flares, the heavily sculpted front fascia, the "HUMMER" debossed lettering on the hood and tailgate, and the gloss-black lower cladding that wants its own seam line. Plan extra relief work around the angular wheel arches and the charge-port door on the driver-side front fender, and account for the removable Sky Panels and exposed roof bows as separate template pieces.
Wrapping your Hummer EV takes 1–3 days in our Sacramento shop after 2–3 business days of print production. The 450 sq ft of panels are wrapped individually, with film tucked into edges and recesses rather than trimmed flush, so nothing lifts at the corners.
Which wrap finish is best for a GMC Hummer EV?
Satin or matte is the strongest call on the Hummer EV: the flat, high-volume panels make gloss show every wave and the upright doors broadcast reflections, while a satin or matte finish reads as purpose-built and hides the slab-side oil-canning. Color-shift can work because there's so much square footage to let the flop develop, but I'd steer owners away from full chrome here since 450-plus square feet of mirror finish is brutal to keep clean and overheats on a vehicle this large.
Every Hummer EV finish is cut from 3M Wrap Film Series 2080 or Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film — cast vinyl rated 5–7 years in Central Valley sun. Gloss, satin, matte, chrome-delete and colour-shift all cost the same per sq ft; the finish changes the look, not the price. Whichever you pick, upkeep is the same: hand wash with pH-neutral soap, no wax or polish, and leave a fresh wrap unwashed for 48–72 hours while the adhesive cures. GMC Hummer EV wrap FAQ
Do I have to remove the Sky Panels / Infinity Roof before you wrap it?
Not the whole roof, but it helps. The four transparent Sky Panels pop out and store in the frunk, and pulling them lets us wrap or PPF the painted roof rails and cant rails cleanly without fighting the glass edges; the panels themselves are tinted polycarbonate, not body color, so they don't get wrapped.
Should I wrap the gloss-black lower cladding and fender flares too, or leave them?
You can do either, but most owners leave the textured/gloss-black cladding and flares factory and wrap only the painted upper body, which gives a clean two-tone break along the existing trim line. If you do want color over the cladding, know that the textured plastic sections need a different (often matte/cast) film and more heat to lay into the grain, so it's priced and templated separately from the smooth door skins.
Is a partial wrap cheaper than a full wrap on a Hummer EV?
Yes, and proportionally so. Coverage is what you pay for: a full colour change on a Hummer EV covers about 450 sq ft, a partial roughly half that, and lettering or decals around a fifth. The per-square-foot rate is identical — $17 up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 above, with a $550 minimum — so half the coverage really is close to half the price. Final price depends on coverage, finish, and design — never a flat badge price. Get a real number on our Get Started form.
How long does a Hummer EV wrap last, and does it come off clean?
A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a Hummer EV lasts about 5–7 years with care. EV clearcoats like the Hummer EV's run thin from the factory, so the film shields the paint underneath — peel it later and the original finish is better off than the bare panels. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
