Sprinters get wrapped because they're rolling billboards with the highest surface-to-dollar ratio of any work van — the tall, flat slab sides on the 144" and 170" wheelbases give you a near-vertical canvas a sedan can't touch, and high-roof models add another foot of clean real estate above the rubrail. Owners also wrap to protect the factory paint on a vehicle they plan to run 300k+ miles and resell, and to switch fleet branding without repainting. The unique angle: a Sprinter wrap has to survive years of daily door slams, ladder racks, and curb scuffs, so material choice and edge sealing matter far more than on a show car.

What a Mercedes Sprinter wrap costs

The Sprinter is a extra-large vehicle — roughly 450 sq ft of wrappable surface. Commercial graphics and lettering start from $950, and a full color change is priced by the area we cover — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. The price tracks square footage and install hours on the Sprinter itself — not the badge on the trunk.

Model-year note. Three generations live in this range: the W906/NCV3 (2007–2018, sold early on as Dodge then Freightliner/Mercedes), and the current VS30 (2018–2026) which brought a wider, more sculpted nose, restyled headlights, and a redesigned front fascia that changes your die-lines and bumper wrap lines. The 2019 model year was the big break point in the US — earlier vans have flatter, simpler front-end geometry that's quicker to template than the busier VS30 face. Wrapping a Mercedes Sprinter: panels & install

The body is mostly large flat or gently crowned panels, but the work is in the details — deep body-side character lines and the horizontal rubrail/cladding break, the sliding-door track channel, recessed door handles, and the corrugated/ribbed sections inside the rear cargo doors that fight conformability. The biggest single panel is the slab side ahead of the rear wheel, which is great for graphics but shows every roller mark and squeegee line if the install isn't dead clean.

Finishes for your Sprinter

Gloss cast vinyl is the standard call here because it mimics OEM paint, hides the inevitable highway grime, and is easiest to wash on a van that lives outside — and it makes printed logos and brand color pop on those big flat sides. Satin is a strong second for a clean monochrome commercial look that still cleans up well; skip matte and textured finishes on a hard-working van because they trap road film and are punishing to keep looking right. Owner tip for your Sprinter

From our install bench. Those tall slab cargo sides are huge unbroken panels, so insist the installer overlap vinyl into the deep swage lines and tuck edges behind the sliding-door track and rivet rows. On high-roof builds, matte finishes hide the inevitable roof-baking and ladder scuffs best.

Mercedes Sprinter wrap FAQ

Can you wrap the high-roof and still get clean coverage up top?

Yes — the high roof and the upper panels above the rubrail are mostly broad, gently curved surfaces that wrap well, which is why full-height graphics are popular on tall Sprinters. The harder areas are the roof edge transitions and any installed roof rails or vents, which we trim and seal around individually.

Will the wrap conform to the ribbed sections on the rear cargo doors?

Cast vinyl will conform into shallow body recesses, but deep corrugated or heavily ribbed door sections are a known challenge — we either lay graphics so they break at the rib lines or post-heat the material into the channels, and any vinyl tunneled across a deep groove is prone to lifting over time. We'll flag during templating which rear-door details suit full coverage versus a cleaner partial layout.

How much does it cost to wrap a Mercedes Sprinter?

Commercial graphics and lettering on a Sprinter start from $950, and a full color-change wrap is priced by the vehicle's size and the area we cover. Coverage, finish, and how complex the design is move the number — the badge never does. Get a real number on our Get Started form.

How long does a Sprinter wrap last, and does it come off clean?

A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a Sprinter lasts about 5–7 years with care. Fleet miles and Valley sun age a Sprinter fast, so premium film and sealed edges decide the lifespan — and the wrap lifts clean when you rebrand. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
