Owners wrap a 1500 to protect a daily-driver truck that pulls double duty as a jobsite rig and weekend hauler, where the broad bedsides and cab take rock chips, ladder rash, and UV fade faster than the factory clearcoat can handle. The unique angle is the 1500's enormous flat, slab-sided real estate: the long doors, bedside panels, and tailgate read like billboards, which is why contractors and fleets favor it for color-change branding over fussier compact trucks. A wrap also lets a leased 1500 return to bone-stock paint, which matters on a truck this commonly financed.

What a RAM 1500 wrap costs

The 1500 is a full-size vehicle — roughly 345 sq ft of wrappable surface. Commercial graphics and lettering start from $650, and a full color change is priced by the area we cover — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. The price tracks square footage and install hours on the 1500 itself — not the badge on the trunk.

Model-year note. The hard die-line break is the 2019 DT-generation redesign: the prior 2009–2018 trucks (with the 2013 mid-cycle grille/fascia refresh) use the boxier DS body, while 2019+ brought the larger split crosshair grille, reshaped hood, and smoother bedsides — so 2019-up templates are not interchangeable with earlier ones. Note that Ram kept selling the old body as the "Classic" alongside the new DT through about 2024, so a 2019–2024 "1500" can be either body and you must verify by VIN/grille before cutting. Wrapping a RAM 1500: panels & install

The bedside is one tall, gently crowned panel broken only by the wheel-arch flare and the stamped character line above it, so it takes vinyl cleanly but the rear-quarter where the bedside meets the cab corner needs a relief cut, and crew-cab versions add two more full-size rear doors plus the B/C-pillar trim to template. Watch the RamBox option on EcoDiesel/Rebel/Laramie trims — the integrated bedside storage lids interrupt the panel with their own seams and gaskets, and the tailgate handle pocket and multifunction split-gate hinges all demand individual wraps or knife-cuts.

Finishes for your 1500

Satin or matte black flatters the 1500's slab sides because the diffuse finish hides the panel waviness and oil-canning that gloss exaggerates across those big flat doors and bedsides. For show trucks a gloss color-shift pops off the tall body and chrome grille, but on work trucks satin is the practical pick since it conceals minor install tension lines and resists the dusty-jobsite look. Owner tip for your 1500

From our install bench. Those big flush door handles and the wide tailgate "RAM" stamping trap dirt that fights adhesion, so let us scrub and degrease them first. Many 1500 owners pick a satin charcoal or color-shift; both wrap that broad slab side beautifully but show fingerprints around the handle pockets.

RAM 1500 wrap FAQ

My 1500 has the RamBox bedside storage — can it still be wrapped?

Yes, but the RamBox lids and their rubber gaskets break the bedside into separate sections, so each lid gets wrapped individually and the vinyl is knifed cleanly at the gasket lines rather than run as one continuous panel. It adds labor versus a plain bedside but the result is seamless when the lids are closed.

Will a wrap come off cleanly when my lease ends or I sell the truck?

On a 1500 with healthy factory clearcoat, quality cast vinyl removes cleanly within a typical 5-to-7-year window and leaves the original paint underneath, which is exactly why leased trucks get wrapped. The only caution is panels with previous repaint or aftermarket touch-up, since fresh or low-quality paint can lift with the vinyl.

How much does it cost to wrap a RAM 1500?

Commercial graphics and lettering on a 1500 start from $650, and a full color-change wrap is priced by the vehicle's size and the area we cover. Coverage, finish, and how complex the design is move the number — the badge never does. Get a real number on our Get Started form.

How long does a 1500 wrap last, and does it come off clean?

A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a 1500 lasts about 5–7 years with care. A 1500 that lives outside lands at the lower end of that range; a garaged one holds the top — either way removal is paint-safe. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
