Toyota 4Runner Wrap in Sacramento
Updated

4Runner owners wrap for two reasons that play to its strengths: it's a body-on-frame SUV that actually sees dirt, gravel, and trailheads, so a wrap (or partial hood/rocker/lower-quarter kit) shields factory paint from rock chips and trail rash on a truck people keep 10-plus years. The other angle is style — the boxy, upright body reads cleanly in a single flat color, and matte military greens, bronze, and earth tones are hugely popular on this platform to chase the "overland" look without a repaint.

What a Toyota 4Runner wrap costs
The 4Runner is a full-size vehicle — roughly 310 sq ft of wrappable surface. A full color change starts from $4,050, with lettering and partials from $550 — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. That's quoted off the 4Runner's real surface area and time on the bench, so a same-size sedan costs the same as a Tesla — no badge tax.

Wrapping a Toyota 4Runner: panels & install
The 4Runner's slab sides, near-vertical tailgate, and flat roof are install-friendly, but the real work is the heavily sculpted front and rear bumper end caps, the wide black fender flares (often left unwrapped or wrapped separately in textured film), and the rear quarter where the body kinks up around the wheel arch and the (on many trims) roll-down rear glass. Expect relief cuts and seams around the flares, the TRD/SR5 hood scoop where equipped, and the tailgate handle/spoiler.
Finishes for your 4Runner
Satin or matte finishes suit the 4Runner best — they reinforce its rugged, utilitarian character and hide the minor body waviness and panel gaps far better than high gloss, which on a tall slab-sided SUV exaggerates every reflection. For trail-driven trucks a matte or satin PPF-backed color also takes branch-rub and dust better; save color-shift and chrome for show builds, since they highlight the boxy panels rather than flatter them. Toyota 4Runner wrap FAQ
Can you wrap the black plastic fender flares and bumper trim on my 4Runner?
Yes, but textured/grained plastic doesn't hold standard cast vinyl as reliably as smooth painted panels, so we typically wrap flares in a matte film, use a trim-specific product, or leave them factory black for contrast. It's worth deciding up front because the flares are a defining part of the truck's look.
My 4Runner has a sliding rear window and a roll-down tailgate glass — does that affect the wrap?
It affects edges, not feasibility. We wrap up to the rubber seals and the chrome/black surrounds rather than onto the moving glass, and the power roll-down rear window (a 4Runner signature feature) means we finish the tailgate cleanly around that opening so the glass still drops without lifting the film.
How much does it cost to wrap a Toyota 4Runner?
A full color-change wrap on a 4Runner — about 310 sq ft of full-size surface — starts from $4,050, with partials and lettering from $550. What changes it is how much of the 4Runner you cover and which finish you choose, not the make. Get a real number on our Get Started form.
How long does a 4Runner wrap last, and does it come off clean?
A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a 4Runner lasts about 5–7 years with care. Keep a 4Runner out of all-day sun and off harsh car-wash brushes and it holds color for years; on healthy paint it comes off with no residue. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
