Do you have to remove the M Sport body kit or the kidney grille to wrap my 3 Series?
The kidney grille surround on G20 cars is a separate trim piece, so blacking it out or wrapping it cleanly usually means popping it off rather than cutting around it in place. The M Sport bumpers and side skirts wrap better with the bumpers removed so vinyl can wrap into the edges, which is why a kitted 330i or M340i takes longer than a base car.
Will a wrap hurt the soft BMW clear coat or factory paint underneath?
No — quality cast vinyl actually shields the 3 Series' notoriously soft, swirl-prone clear coat from rock chips and wash marring. The only risk is on a car with existing chips or prior touch-up where the factory paint is already lifting, so any flaking spots get flagged before install.
