Owners wrap the CT5 because its long, formal three-box sedan profile gives a big, flat door and quarter-panel canvas that reads like a luxury coupe from the side, and because Cadillac's factory color range is conservative, so a wrap is the cheapest way to get a satin gunmetal, deep blue, or color-shift look the dealer never offered. The CT5's high beltline and slab-sided doors are unusually clean for a modern sedan, which means large single-piece panels print with almost no distortion and a near-paint finish.

How much does it cost to wrap a Cadillac CT5?

A Cadillac CT5 wrap in Sacramento starts at $3,500 for a full colour change. The CT5 measures about 270 sq ft of wrappable surface, billed at $13–$17 per sq ft with a $550 minimum. Install takes 1–3 days.

The CT5 is a full-size vehicle — roughly 270 sq ft of wrappable surface. A full color change starts from $3,500, with lettering and partials from $550$17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. The price tracks square footage and install hours on the CT5 itself — not the badge on the trunk.

What a CT5 wrap will not do. It will not hide failing paint — film needs sound factory paint underneath, otherwise removal can pull the surface with it. It will not last equally everywhere: 3M warrants Series 2080 for 7 years on vertical panels but 2 years on horizontal ones like the roof. And it will not come off free — removal runs $75 per hour depending on the film's age.
Model-year note. The 2020 launch cars and the 2025 mid-cycle refresh use different front and rear templates: the refresh swapped the grille and the lower fascia and added the much larger 33-inch curved dash screen inside, but more importantly for wrappers the updated front bumper and headlight signature changes the die-lines, so a pre-2025 fascia kit will not register correctly on a refreshed car. Trim also matters within the range, since CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing carry unique vented hoods, fascias, and rear diffusers that need their own panel cuts versus the base Luxury and Premium Luxury cars. Tell us your year so we cut and quote to the right die-lines.

How long does it take to wrap a Cadillac CT5?

The CT5's main challenge is the deeply creased character line that runs the length of the door and the sharp upswept crease into the rear quarter, both of which want to lift if you don't post-heat and relieve tension there; the long rear deck and the chunky body-color mirror caps and door handles also each need their own relief cuts. The vertical-stacked headlight and taillight surrounds and the wide lower bumper intakes mean the front and rear fascias break into several smaller pieces rather than one wrap-and-tuck panel.

Plan on 1–3 days in the bay for a CT5, plus 2–3 business days of printing beforehand. Handles, badges and trim come off so film wraps into the full-size body's recesses; every stretched edge is post-heated so the vinyl keeps its shape.

From our install bench. The CT5's long, character-creased rear quarters love to trap film at the trunk shoulder, so we wrap that line in one piece and post-heat the edge. Owners chasing matte gray on the sport sedan: keep brake dust off the lower rockers, since it stains satin finishes fast.

Which wrap finish is best for a Cadillac CT5?

Satin or a matte-metallic finish suits the CT5 best: the car's slab door sides and razor-sharp character line catch satin light in a way that exaggerates the crease and gives the sedan a factory-special look, while still hiding the minor orange-peel common in Cadillac's factory clear better than full gloss would. Gloss color-shift is the strong second pick for owners who want Blackwing-style aggression without committing to a single hue.

Finishes for a CT5 are priced identically per sq ft — gloss, satin, matte, chrome-delete or colour-shift. All are cast film (3M 2080 or Avery Supreme), rated 5–7 years here; satin hides dust and swirls best, matte is the most dramatic and least forgiving. All of them want the same care: pH-neutral hand wash, never a brush tunnel, and no wax or petroleum-based products. Cadillac CT5 wrap FAQ

Can you wrap the CT5's vertical taillights and the chrome window trim, or do those have to stay?

The vertical taillights are not wrapped, but the bright window surrounds and B-pillar trim can be color-matched or blacked out, which is one of the most popular CT5 requests. Most owners pair a satin body wrap with gloss-black window trim to lose the chrome and tighten up the look.

Does the panoramic roof or the body-color roof on my CT5 need anything special when wrapping the rest of the car?

If your car has the painted metal roof we can wrap it in one piece with a roof-rail relief, but the optional panoramic glass roof stays glass and we simply finish the wrap into the rail seam. Either way the A-pillars and the area around the shark-fin antenna get their own small pieces so nothing lifts at the edges.

Is a partial wrap cheaper than a full wrap on a CT5?

Yes, and proportionally so. Coverage is what you pay for: a full colour change on a CT5 covers about 270 sq ft, a partial roughly half that, and lettering or decals around a fifth. The per-square-foot rate is identical — $17 up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 above, with a $550 minimum — so half the coverage really is close to half the price. Coverage, finish, and how complex the design is move the number — the badge never does. Get a real number on our Get Started form.

How long does a CT5 wrap last, and does it come off clean?

A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a CT5 lasts about 5–7 years with care. Garaged and hand-washed, a CT5 holds the upper end of that range; baking in the Sacramento sun pushes it lower. Removal stays clean and paint-safe. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
