Land Rover Range Rover Wrap in Sacramento
Updated

Range Rover owners almost always wrap to either protect a six-figure investment with paint protection film or to step away from the limited factory color palette without a respray that would tank resale. The unique angle here is the clamshell aluminum bonnet and those large, flat door skins: they photograph like a billboard, so a color change reads dramatically on this truck in a way it doesn't on a busy, character-lined sedan. We also see a lot of two-tone requests that mimic the factory contrast roof, which is a clean, high-value look buyers love.

What a Land Rover Range Rover wrap costs
The Range Rover is a full-size vehicle — roughly 320 sq ft of wrappable surface. A full color change starts from $4,150, with lettering and partials from $550 — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. That's quoted off the Range Rover's real surface area and time on the bench, so a same-size sedan costs the same as a Tesla — no badge tax.

Wrapping a Land Rover Range Rover: panels & install
The body is mostly large, gently crowned aluminum panels — bonnet, doors, quarters — which lay film fast, but the real work is the floating contrast roof, the blacked-out A-to-D pillar "glasshouse" trim, and the deep recessed gill vents on the front fenders that need relief cuts and post-heat to stay down. Tailgate handling differs by generation: the L405 and L460 both run a split/clamshell-style rear, so the lower tailgate, badges, and the chrome RANGE ROVER lettering across the bonnet and hatch all get removed or wrapped around rather than knifed over.
Finishes for your Range Rover
A satin or gloss metallic suits this truck best — satin reads expensive and modern on the slab-sided body while hiding the orange-peel-free factory aluminum's reflections, and it complements the brand's own muted SV/Autobiography tones. We steer owners away from matte on a daily-driven Range Rover because the flat finish shows wash swirls and is hard to keep clean, and full chrome overwhelms a vehicle this large; a subtle color-shift on the roof or a gloss two-tone is the higher-end move. Land Rover Range Rover wrap FAQ
Do you have to remove the chrome RANGE ROVER lettering on the hood and tailgate to wrap it?
For a clean color change, yes — we pull the raised badges and the floating letters so the vinyl wraps flat underneath instead of bridging over them, then reinstall. The factory letters are studded/adhesive-mounted, so they come off without damaging the aluminum and go back on straight.
Will a wrap cover up rock chips or stick to the contrast roof and gloss-black pillars?
Wrap film bridges minor swirls but it will telegraph deep rock chips or dents, so we prep and fill those first; on a Range Rover the front edge of the aluminum bonnet is a common chip zone worth addressing. The contrast roof and gloss-black glasshouse trim wrap fine, though the textured/satin-black pillar trims need extra heat and edge sealing because film doesn't grip textured surfaces as aggressively as smooth paint.
How much does it cost to wrap a Land Rover Range Rover?
A full color-change wrap on a Range Rover — about 320 sq ft of full-size surface — starts from $4,150, with partials and lettering from $550. What changes it is how much of the Range Rover you cover and which finish you choose, not the make. Get a real number on our Get Started form.
How long does a Range Rover wrap last, and does it come off clean?
A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a Range Rover lasts about 5–7 years with care. Keep a Range Rover out of all-day sun and off harsh car-wash brushes and it holds color for years; on healthy paint it comes off with no residue. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
