You can layer a color-change wrap over existing clear paint protection film, but the PPF must be fully cured, clean, and have solid edge adhesion or the vinyl will telegraph the PPF edges and risk lifting. On a 720S we usually prefer to wrap the painted clamshells and reserve PPF for the high-impact lower splitter, rockers, and door leading edges so the two films don't fight at the deep intake radii.
Will wrapping damage the soft factory paint or the carbon panels when it's removed?
Properly applied cast vinyl removes cleanly and actually shields the 720S's thin, soft factory paint from chips and UV while it's on.
