Lincoln Aviator Wrap in Sacramento
Updated

Aviator owners wrap to set a flagship Lincoln apart from the sea of black and white luxury SUVs in Sacramento school-run and valet lines, and because the long hood and broad slab sides give a wrap real visual payoff. The Grand Touring PHEV crowd in particular wants a finish that reads as premium without screaming, while many also pair partial PPF on the leading edges with a full color change to protect the soft factory clearcoat behind it.

How much does it cost to wrap a Lincoln Aviator?
A Lincoln Aviator wrap in Sacramento starts at $4,300 for a full colour change. The Aviator measures about 330 sq ft of wrappable surface, billed at $13–$17 per sq ft with a $550 minimum. Install takes 1–3 days.
The Aviator is a full-size vehicle — roughly 330 sq ft of wrappable surface. A full color change starts from $4,300, with lettering and partials from $550 — $17/sq ft up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 for larger jobs, $550 minimum, never a flat badge rate. That's quoted off the Aviator's real surface area and time on the bench, so a same-size sedan costs the same as a Tesla — no badge tax.

How long does it take to wrap a Lincoln Aviator?
The Aviator's challenge is its dimension rather than its curves: very long, flat door and quarter panels that need careful tension control and a center anchor to avoid lifting, plus a pronounced character line that runs the full length of the body and must be relieved into. Watch the wide rocker/lower-door blackout cladding, the large chrome window surrounds, and the front fender vent trim, all of which are best wrapped as separate pieces or cut around rather than bridged.
A Aviator install runs 1–3 days. Roughly 70% of that is preparation — wash, clay-bar, solvent wipe, hardware removal — and 30% is laying film across the 330 sq ft of panels, one panel at a time.
Which wrap finish is best for a Lincoln Aviator?
A satin or a subtle color-shift (deep blue-to-purple or gunmetal-to-bronze) flatters the Aviator best because its long, mostly flat door skins and tall greenhouse read as a single clean canvas, and satin hides the few orange-peel-prone factory panels while a color-shift plays off the chrome-heavy grille and waterfall trim. Full gloss black is the common request but shows every wash swirl on those big horizontal surfaces, so satin is the smarter spec on this body.
Any finish on a Aviator uses the same cast vinyl and the same rate: 3M 2080 or Avery Dennison Supreme, 5–7 year rating in Sacramento sun. Choose by upkeep, not budget — gloss reads closest to factory paint, matte needs the most careful washing. Chrome is the highest-maintenance of the group; every finish needs a pH-neutral hand wash and no wax, and a fresh wrap stays unwashed for 48–72 hours. Lincoln Aviator wrap FAQ
My Aviator is a Grand Touring plug-in hybrid — does anything about the charge port or hybrid system change the wrap?
Only the driver-side front fender charge-port door needs attention; we wrap or trim around it so the lid still opens flush and the seam stays sealed, and the wrap doesn't touch any high-voltage components. Otherwise the PHEV wraps exactly like the gas Aviator.
Can you wrap the Aviator's chrome grille surround and all that bright window trim, or does that stay factory?
We can wrap the chrome window surrounds and the grille frame to delete the brightwork for a blacked-out look, but it's done as separate inlay pieces, not bridged from the body panels. Many owners keep the waterfall grille bars factory and only knock down the surrounding chrome, which is the cleaner result on this front end.
Is a partial wrap cheaper than a full wrap on a Aviator?
Yes, and proportionally so. Coverage is what you pay for: a full colour change on a Aviator covers about 330 sq ft, a partial roughly half that, and lettering or decals around a fifth. The per-square-foot rate is identical — $17 up to 50 sq ft, $15 up to 100, $13 above, with a $550 minimum — so half the coverage really is close to half the price. What changes it is how much of the Aviator you cover and which finish you choose, not the make. Get a real number on our Get Started form.
How long does a Aviator wrap last, and does it come off clean?
A quality cast-vinyl wrap on a Aviator lasts about 5–7 years with care. Garaged and hand-washed, a Aviator holds the upper end of that range; baking in the Sacramento sun pushes it lower. Removal stays clean and paint-safe. Every install carries a 60-day workmanship warranty.
