The sides are genuinely flat with shallow horizontal character lines and a pronounced lower body crease, so the main challenge is the deep vertical sliding-door track recess and the sharp tuck around the rear wheel arches rather than compound curves. Will a wrap fit over the textured black plastic on the lower part of my ProMaster?
Vinyl does not bond reliably to that grained black rocker and bumper cladding, so we wrap the painted metal above it and leave the textured plastic as-is. That break actually looks intentional on this van because the cladding already forms a clean lower line.
Can the whole flat side panel be done in one piece?
On the long-wheelbase and extended ProMaster the cargo sides are tall and wide enough that we typically run them as panels with seams hidden at the door gaps and body creases. The flatness helps, but film comes in fixed widths, so a true one-piece side is not realistic on the bigger lengths.
